Welcome to my BLOG!
I'm Amanda- a wife, a mother, a daughter,a sister, a teacher, and a photographer. I try to stay away from traditional stuff and put more of a modern and fresh feel to my pictures. I love natural lighting, although I have a studio too, "ugly" furniture and rustic and junky locations, and most importantly capturing the true spirit in everyone I photograph.

We finally had a beautiful snowy day to take Tanners senior pictures. It has been such a nasty winter here this year, and we’ve had to reschedule it a few times. While it was still cold and we had to wade in snow up to our thighs in some places, it was worth it.
Here’s a few of Mr. Tanner.

Today I’m posting with a very heavy heart. Little Miss Kameron passed away this morning around 2 a.m. She is now pain-free, and most importantly HOME!
She was a true blessing to be around and I am so blessed to have been in her life even though it was not long enough.
Thank you to all that was praying for her- I know her family appreciates it. Please continue to pray for them to give them strength in this time of need.
Here is a slideshow of this wonderful family. KAMERON
And another picture of the beautiful, strong Fortney Family

February 21, 2010 - 10:14 am - I'm so sorry. My thoughts and prayers with the family.
A few weeks ago I photographed an extraordinary young girl and family. I’m sure all teachers can say that they’ve had one student that changes them. A student that is just a joy to be around and teach. A student that is eager to learn, kind to all her friends, and respectful to adults. A student that in their mind is their “favorite”. Well Kameron was mine!! I probably shouldn’t admit that publicly- but it’s the truth. This little girl has so much to offer it’s crazy. From the moment she walked in the classroom, to the moment she left, she always had a smile on her face. I don’t think I ever heard her complain about anyone, or anything I asked her to do.
Anyway, before Christmas, Kameron was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. She has been at the Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Oh, where she had a bone marrow transplant. Her younger sister Jillian was a perfect match.
She has been doing great and recovering from the procedures. But today wasn’t a good day. She’s had some complications and is retaining fluid in her mid-section. She has just been moved back to the PICU.
I’m hoping all who read my blog will add Kameron to their prayer list!! Say an extra prayer for her today. God is great, and he will heal her, we all just need to have faith!
Thanks

Alyssa wanted to try some modeling type of shots and I wanted to practice my high key, so we made a perfect pair. I love working with her- she’s very natural in front of the camera even though she is shy.
Here’s a few from our mini session.

I had alot of fun photographing this family. It was fun to get outside and do a few snow pictures. They had me laughing for sure.
Thanks so much!!

Yeah- little Miss Marley is 1 ! We did her 1 year portraits on her birthday too. She has been a great baby planner- coming in every 3 months- I love to see how she has changed. This time, she’s starting to get alot more hair. I just love photographing her!!!
We had some birthday cake fun too!!

This was such a special session for me. Kameron is one of my 4th grade students. Before Christmas, she was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. Her younger sister Jillian is a 100% match for a bone marrow transplant. God is Good!
Kameron is so full of life, caring and smart and loving. She is an absolute blessing to be around. Her smile and laugh is contagious!
She is leaving on Monday to go have her procedures done, and I was SO happy to be able to capture some pictures of her and her family before they left.
Scott, Rita, Kameron and Jillian- thank you so much for coming down. I am so glad I got to see you guys before you left.
Kameron- you are a beautiful young girl. Stay strong- you have alot of people praying for you! God isn’t finished with you yet! He has big plans for both you and Jillian. I expect you back in school next year young lady.LOL
