Welcome!

Welcome to my BLOG!

I'm Amanda- a wife, a mother, a daughter,a sister, a teacher, and a photographer. I try to stay away from traditional stuff and put more of a modern and fresh feel to my pictures. I love natural lighting, although I have a studio too, "ugly" furniture and rustic and junky locations, and most importantly capturing the true spirit in everyone I photograph.

Fortney Family- 2010 | West Virginia Family Photographer

This was such a special session for me. Kameron is one of my 4th grade students. Before Christmas, she was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. Her younger sister Jillian is a 100% match for a bone marrow transplant. God is Good!

Kameron is so full of life, caring and smart and loving. She is an absolute blessing to be around. Her smile and laugh is contagious!

She is leaving on Monday to go have her procedures done, and I was SO happy to be able to capture some pictures of her and her family before they left.

Scott, Rita, Kameron and Jillian- thank you so much for coming down. I am so glad I got to see you guys before you left.

Kameron-  you are a beautiful young girl. Stay strong- you have alot of people praying for you! God isn’t finished with you yet! He has big plans for both you and Jillian.  I expect you back in school next year young lady.LOL

Here’s just a few from our session- I hope you enjoy them!

Can you believe I actually taught Sarah in High School!! Boy that seems like such a long time ago and was towards the beginning days of my teacher career. Her family has grown and is just beautiful!

Mr. Lathius | West Virginia Child and Family Photographer

Oh boy was it nice to see little Lathius again. I photographed him a year ago when he was about 4 months old. Lathius was born early at 25 weeks and is such a fighter. He still has the same cute chubby cheeks that I loved when he was a newborn.

Miss. Joelie | West Virginia Child Photographer

Miss. Joelie was such a dream to photograph. She is just the happiest little thing ever. It was one of the most rewarding, funniest sessions I’ve had in a long time. After the session, I just knew I had some great images.

Here’s a few from her session- thanks so much guys- it was a pleasure to meet you!

Mr. Gabriel | West Virginia Child Photographer

Oh Mr. Gabriel- he’s such a little ham.  He wasn’t too into having his picture taken, but once I had him jumping- he decided it was fun.

Here’s just a few from the session.

Mr. Max | West Virginia Child Photographer

Boy was Mr. Max a busy body. Sessions like this just really make me wish for summer. It’s hard to chase a 2 year old in a studio- but so easy outside.

He’s totally adorable and despite him not really wanting to have his  pictures taken- he did really good.
