A few weeks ago I photographed an extraordinary young girl and family. I’m sure all teachers can say that they’ve had one student that changes them. A student that is just a joy to be around and teach. A student that is eager to learn, kind to all her friends, and respectful to adults. A student that in their mind is their “favorite”. Well Kameron was mine!! I probably shouldn’t admit that publicly- but it’s the truth. This little girl has so much to offer it’s crazy. From the moment she walked in the classroom, to the moment she left, she always had a smile on her face. I don’t think I ever heard her complain about anyone, or anything I asked her to do.
Anyway, before Christmas, Kameron was diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia. She has been at the Children’s Hospital in Columbus, Oh, where she had a bone marrow transplant. Her younger sister Jillian was a perfect match.
She has been doing great and recovering from the procedures. But today wasn’t a good day. She’s had some complications and is retaining fluid in her mid-section. She has just been moved back to the PICU.
I’m hoping all who read my blog will add Kameron to their prayer list!! Say an extra prayer for her today. God is great, and he will heal her, we all just need to have faith!
Thanks
